1969 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.3 – Sold!

Back in 1964, Mercedes-Benz launched its top-range W100 limousine which featured a SOHC 6.3 litre V8 engine. In 1966 company engineer Erich Waxenberger transplanted the big V8 into a standard 300SEL (W109), creating first Mercedes-Benz Q-car.
Despite the large size of the 300SEL, the automaker claimed 0-62 mph (0–100 km/h) time of 6.3 seconds. Claimed as the fastest production sedan (top speed of 229 km/h), the 300SEL 6.3, held this title for many years. Contact Us for more info. Click here for more photos.
